Welcome to the New Canada Adopts!

Screen Shot 2014-07-28 at 9.31.09 AMThis is an exciting day for us here at Canada Adopts!

As part of the most extensive makeover since our launch in 2001, we now have a new look, new content and new navigation.

From our discussion forums and resources to our information for adopting parents and expectant parents, everything you’ve told us you like about our website is the same.

But you’ll also notice some important changes.

Starting today, Canada Adopts! will be even faster and easier to view. Thanks to our new responsive design, you can now experience us the same way across all devices and screens, including smart phones, tablets and desktops.

To help you navigate the adoption process, we’ll also be rolling out new content on a regular basis. This includes our new blog that will be regularly updated with new tips, information, and support, as well as guest posts by all members of the adoption triad, including adoptive parents, birthparents, adoptees and adoption experts.

No matter what stage of your adoption journey you’re at, you’ll find information and answers to help you find your way through the process.

But there will also be a bigger emphasis on our hopeful adoptive parents and their outreach efforts. If you’re hoping to reach out to prospective birthparents through open adoption, you’ll now have even more opportunities to make your parent profile stand out and create connections faster and easier.

Some of the changes include:

  • a larger, more enhanced presence on our home page
  • a more comprehensive portrait, with more web pages, more photos and larger images
  • increased visibility throughout the site
  • new search tools and improved web, seach engine, and photo optimization
  • the option to include links to your personal website or blog or social networks and/or get priority placement

We’ll have more details about our new features in the coming weeks. In the meantime, be sure to join us on FacebookTwitterPinterest and Google + for all of the latest adoption news and information.

We’d love to hear your thoughts about the new site and what you would want to see on it. Email us your comments, suggestions or feedback any time.
