About Us

We are a loving couple, married for over 13 years and live on 50 acres in Mono, Ontario. We have been trying to have a family since 2007 and have a close and large extended family and friends that support and love on us in this process. We enjoy being apart of the community through sports and volunteering. After living majority of our lives in cities like Toronto and Newmarket we appreciate and enjoy our rural life in Mono with a large garden, pool and plenty of room for sports and fun activities. Our home will be a very loving home that has structure. Both of our parents are still married after over 45+ years married and taught us how to have fun and also to love reading and learning. We were raised in loving homes and want to share our loving home with children.
We have two miniature poodles, Cougar (17) and Otter (1) and are full of joy and love. They are great with children and babies. We are also foster parents for our area and have provided respite care for babies ages 3 to 9 months. Both dogs have been extremely gentle with any babies or children in our home.

Christina is self employed, works from home and has a very flexible schedule.

Dave is an IT project manager, works mostly from home and works a traditional M-F 8-4 pm schedule.
Working from home allows us the time and flexibility to develop a special bond and care for a baby or young child.

Our Home & Community

Our home is a 2600 sq ft bungalow on 50 acres of rural land in Mono, Ontario.  We are very close to all amenities and schools as we are near Hwy 89 & Hwy 10.
We have a large pool and garden, with lots of room to play.
We are volunteers within our community for things like the bee association and we are also foster parents for our County.  We get along well with our new and old neighbours as we feel it’s important to support each other when in need. As an example, Dave will help snow blow some of our neighbours drive ways.

Our Thoughts about Parenting & Adoption

Our thoughts on parenting is that unconditional love is not an option. We can provide unconditional love to our adoptive child. We know this to be true as we experienced this with our respite baby and it was a beautiful experience that we will never forget. She will be in our hearts forever. That is how we know our love and bond for our adoptive child can just as strong.
We believe parenting should be structured and that reading, play, chores and teaching children right from wrong is very important. We were raised to do good whenever possible and to respect everyone, especially elders. We would want to teach our children these same guiding principles.  We do also understand that parenting is not easy; however, it will fill hearts with more love and is very rewarding.
We feel that adoption is a true blessing for all involved. We feel this because the biological parent(s) can feel safe and secured, and know their child is unconditionally loved and safe and will thrive in our home. We feel blessed to have the gift of a child or children in our home.
mad foster parents, we have a room already ready and baby cloths, crib and so much more.

We are open to discussing if it will be an open, semi-open or closed adoption. We truly believe it needs to be discussed as every situation is different and we want to be respectful to all. So that is why we put no-preference.

Closing Thoughts

We want to let you know that truly love each other and try to be good people for our family and our community. We believe that we have the capacity to form a very special bond and love for a child and have the structure in our upbringings to allow that child to thrive in life.

We are forever grateful to anyone who chooses our family to love and adopt their child.
