Each day that passes, we value that God brought us to each other, and we cherish and respect each other immensely. We met serendipitously in August 2011 through mutual friends. Our relationship blossomed very naturally. We were both mature adults in our thirties when we met. We found in each other the soul mates we had both been searching for. Our families were thrilled about our relationship and we got married on May 2, 2014. It has been almost 6 years that we have been blessed to be married. Our relationship is built on genuine understanding and respect, love and open communication.
Ayesha is a family doctor and has been fortunate to care for many families for the past 15 years. She has learned a lot about relationships and people through this. She is filled with gratitude for all the opportunities that she has been given. Before she met Hussein she spent her time with her large family and network of friends, and played a big role in raising her nieces and nephews whom she is very close to. Her family and friends describe her as a very kind, loving, warm tender-hearted person, who is thoughtful and wise beyond her years. She is a very positive person and loves adventure and new experiences. She has always enjoyed travelling, fitness, reading, writing and baking.
Hussein is a partner of a law firm who is grateful that he has had the opportunity to give back in many ways to his community and country. He is a community leader who volunteers with many different organizations and institutions. Hussein came to Canada as a refugee and knows what it means to struggle and persevere. He believes strongly in helping others who are less fortunate and puts his words into action. Before he met Ayesha his life was filled with great relationships with his large family and friends’ network, volunteer and community activities and spending time with his nephews and niece whom he is very close to. He enjoys playing hockey and lacrosse. Hussein is kind, loving, respectful, lots of fun to be around, has a great sense of humour and has a very easy going, extroverted personality.
The greatest blessing of our life came on October 7, 2017 when we welcomed our son Zayn into the world. He is the joy of our heart and the light of our lives. We cannot wait to have this experience again with another child. Parenthood has been the greatest gift we have been given.
Since Zayn was born, Ayesha has chosen to work part-time so that she can focus on raising our family. Hussein is a very involved, hands-on father.
Zayn is a very loving, happy and affectionate boy. He loves to laugh and play with other children. He is super excited to be a big brother.
Our Home & Community
We try to live life to the fullest and take advantage of every opportunity we are presented with. We are very positive, upbeat people who laugh easily.
We love to travel, hike and spend time outdoors. We live in Burlington on a beautiful tree-lined family friendly street. We are close to many parks and our home backs onto a wooded ravine where we love to go for walks and bike rides together.
We love to spend time with our extended family and friends and welcome them to our home for frequent gatherings. Your child will be part of a larger family and community of close knit extended family and friends. Your child will not only have a loving big brother to grow up and play with, but also dozens of cousins.
We are a very spiritual family and will take time to teach your child about faith and God.
We are both very close to our families. Hussein’s parents live close by and they visit almost weekly. They are over the moon excited about welcoming a new grandchild into their lives. They are very comfortable with the idea of adoption as Hussein’s mom has an adopted nephew whom she adores and is very close to.
Ayesha’s family lives in Windsor and Boston. They try to make trips to see each other as much as possible a few times per year.
We have 10 nephews and nieces whom we are very close to, and who are a very important part of our lives. They are very excited to welcome a new cousin to the family.
Our Thoughts about Parenting & Adoption
Adoption was always something we thought about to grow our family. We thought that we would have 2 of our own children and adopt 2 more. In the end we had one child and started our adoption journey toward your child. We are excited and ready to welcome your child into our family. Parenthood has been more rewarding and more gratifying than we could ever have imagined. However, we feel that our family is still incomplete and we hope to complete it with the adoption of your child.
In preparing to adopt, we have had a lot of opportunity to think about how we will explain your child’s story. We feel it’s important to start sharing their story early and make every effort to keep the subject organic and answer any questions openly and honestly.
Our intention is to maintain an open relationship with you and your family to the extent that you are comfortable with.
Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We hope this glimpse into our lives and home gives you some ease that we will provide a warm, stable, loving home for your child to feel safe, secure, flourish and play. We are very excited to be parents again and Zayn longs for a sibling. We look forward to all the challenges and joy that will come with raising a new child.
We wish you the best with your adoption planning and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering our profile. We do look forward to hearing from you.
