We live in a small rural community near Penticton, BC in the heart of the Okanagan Valley. Our heritage house was built in 1910, and we have renovated it to its original state. We are situated on a large lot with beautiful views over the valley. The area offers superb cycling and skiing opportunities that we take advantage of often. |

Our neighbourhood is a rural area, filled with orchards and vineyards. Over the past few years there has been an increase in families with young children moving into the area so that our young son, Zachary, has many neighbourhood friends. An excellent elementary school is a five minute walk from our home, and there are two playgrounds nearby. We live very close to a sandy beach and great swimming lake. |

Yes. We have one son, Zachary, age 3 who has been talking about his "sister" or "brother" since he was two years old. Interesting, since we have never mentioned to him that we are hoping for another child to join our family through adoption. |

Our Favorite Things
to do Together |
In the winter we love to cross- country ski together. Until recently, Zachary enjoyed riding in a trailer that we towed on skis, but now he wants to "do it myself". So, we now have modified ski days in which Zachary "skis" and we also spend time in the cabin reading or playing on the toboggan hill. In the summer, we love to ride our bikes around the vineyards and to the many lakes around our home. After a ride, we play with Zachary at the beach and enjoy swimming together. |
