Our names are Jenny and Marcelo and we are excited to have this opportunity to introduce ourselves. We are a young, energetic, and loving couple who can’t wait to start a family through adoption. We hope that this letter will help you learn more about who we are and how we live our lives.

Jenny
Jenny is an intelligent, dedicated, and loving person from a very close knit family. She has been working as an elementary school teacher for the past nine years. Jenny takes a genuine interest in her students and always goes the extra mile to make sure they have fun and exciting learning opportunities. In her free time, she enjoys reading, making greeting cards, and photography. Jenny’s kindness and compassion will make her an excellent mother.

Marcelo
Marcelo is a patient, easy going, friendly person who loves spending time with family and friends. He is the assistant service manager at a large car dealership where he is well thought of by his colleagues. Marcelo is a car enthusiast, he enjoys mountain biking and experimenting in the kitchen. He is an excellent cook! Marcelo’s fun loving, adventurous spirit will make him an excellent father.

About Us
We met and began dating in high school. Eight years later we were married, and have been now for nine years. Over the course of our relationship we have enjoyed many wonderful experiences and faced some challenges that have helped us grow stronger as a couple.

One of the things we love doing is going on road trips -- both near and far. Some of our more memorable road trips include going to watch a Leafs game in North Carolina and shopping and sightseeing in Pennsylvania. We enjoy attending sporting events like basketball, hockey, soccer, and lacrosse games as well as car races. Another interest of ours is going to the theatre. We have enjoyed many musicals and plays together.

We recently moved to a wonderful family neighbourhood with schools and parks nearby. We live in a spacious four bedroom home on a quiet street with a nice size yard to play in. Many of our neighbours have become friends and we get together for barbeques and backyard parties.

Family and Friends
Our families live close by (about a ten minute car ride) and are excited about the prospect of adding a new family member. Marcelo has one younger brother and Jenny is the oldest of three, with two younger brothers. We spend a lot of time with our families, celebrating special occasions or just getting together for dinner on a Sunday evening. Birthdays are a big deal for us. When it is your birthday you get to pick your favourite meal and type of cake. My nieces especially love to help decorate the cake and blow out the candles! Christmas is another big occasion for us. We celebrate on Christmas Eve at Marcelo’s family home and on Christmas Day at Jenny’s family home. There are always presents from Santa for those who believe. We look forward to continuing these traditions and starting new ones.

We love to have fun with our nieces and nephew. The girls, Julia and Valentina, love to do puzzles, play with dolls and read stories together. Recently, Jenny attended Diego Live with the girls and we had a blast. They have already been bitten by the theatre bug! Our nephew, Jeremiah, is only two months old so he spends most of his time sleeping in your arms. 

We also enjoy getting together with our friends, some of whom we have known since grade school. Many of our friends have children, ranging in age from a few months to ten years old so there are always lots of kids around to play with. We have the honour of being godparents to Haydn (our friends’ son) and Valentina (our niece).
