We’ve been together for 4 years and married for one, even though we’ve known each other for 9. Our love story began long before we realized it. We met in university, when we both attended Wilfrid Laurier. During that time, we knew of each other but had never talked. Four years later, I was living in Vancouver and Kyle flew out for business and the rest is history. We dated for three years and got married on the only rainy Saturday in May, in Kyle’s parent’s backyard. It was an intimate wedding, it was us in a nutshell.
Kyle and I have a love for travelling and seeing the world. On weekends, you can find us spending time with family and friends. We love taking Corey for walks to the park and around our neighbourhood. Kyle and I love spending time at his family cottage in Collingwood, but our absolute favourite place is our home. You can find us cuddled up on the couch, sipping a hot cup of tea most evenings.
Kyle and I try to celebrate all of the little things in life, no matter how small the victory. Life can get busy, we keep grounded by surrounding ourselves with the people we love.
Kyle, there are a million things I could tell you about him. He is hands down the most selfless man I know, he does so much for others and never asks for anything in return. Family is everything to Kyle. The bond that he has built with our nieces and nephews amazes me each and every time I see them interact. Kyle is gentle, calm, patient, and a goof ball. He is able to light up the room with his smile and his laugh is infectious. I cannot wait to see him as a dad. One thing that I admire most about Kyle is his work life balance. Kyle is passionate about his job, and loves what he does, however, he makes it a priority to be home every night on time and for dinner. I admire his devotion to our family, we are always his number one.
When Kyle isn’t working or hanging out with our family he enjoys swimming, biking, and running. Kyle has completed several marathons and triathlons. He is dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle and exercising. Kyle enjoys the outdoors and loves snowboarding in Collingwood at his family cottage. We spend most of our holidays boarding planes and seeing the world. Kyle loves sports, many nights you can find us taking in a Blue Jays game at the Rogers Centre or a Raptors game at the ACC.
Our families mean the world to us. There is nothing we would not do for family. Kyle comes from a tiny family in comparison to mine. Kyle’s family consists of his parents (who we love dearly), as well as, his older brother, sister-in-law and their two kids, who just so happen to be our godchildren. We live minutes away from Kyle’s family and spend every Sunday evening together for family dinner. They are oh so special to us.
Kayla’s family is massive. She is the youngest of five kids. Her two older sisters are married to the love of their lives and have the cutest kiddos and two older brothers who have children as well. My grandparents are everything, we have a very close relationship with the two of them. Though we do not live close to my family, as they live 4 hours away in Sudbury, we see them regularly and they are just the best.
Family means everything to us. We love spending time with them, travelling with them, spending Sunday dinner together, going to church together, and making memories with them. They are so excited for us to grow our family through adoption and cannot wait to welcome another child into their lives.
We hit the family jackpot.
Kyle and I have a love for travelling. Each summer we pick a new place, and set off on and adventure. We love seeing all the beautiful places in this big old world. Being a teacher allows us a lot of time to travel, Kyle also gets 5 weeks off. Together we have been to New York, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Vancouver, LA, Florida, and more. Each year for March Break we vacation with our family in Florida. Our passion for seeing the world has led us to meet many amazing people, who we see and talk to regularly. Travelling
the world together is one of our deepest passions. We are excited to share this passion with our future children.
From the very bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to look through all of our photos. Though, this is just a tiny glimpse into our lives and who we are, we hope it gave you a better understanding of the people we are and the love we have for our families, and one another. Most importantly, we want you to know that we will love your child unconditionally and will dedicate our lives to providing him or her with all the love, security, and joy we can offer. We want your child to always know where he or she came from. You will always be an integral part of his or her life and we plan to raise your child with an understanding and appreciation for you and the sacrifice you are making, This child will be loved beyond words by our families, by our friends, and he or she will always know the great love you have for him or her as well. Thank you for considering us, words cannot express how grateful we are for you.
Sending our love,
Kayla, Kyle & Corey
