Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. We are Kayla and Kyle and we cannot imagine all of the emotions that you are feeling at this time. This is a small glimpse into our lives, a chance for you toget to know us. We are quite simply a family of three, our little dog Corey is included in the count.

About Us

We’ve been together for 4 years and married for one, even though we’ve known each other for 9. Our love story  began long before we realized it. We met in university, when we both attended Wilfrid Laurier. During that time, we knew of each other but had never talked. Four years later, I was living in Vancouver and Kyle flew out for business and the rest is history. We dated for three years and got married on the only rainy Saturday in May, in Kyle’s parent’s backyard. It was an intimate wedding, it was us in a nutshell.

Kyle and I have a love for travelling and seeing the world. On weekends, you can find us spending time with family and friends. We love taking Corey for walks to the park and around our neighbourhood. Kyle and I love spending time at his family cottage in Collingwood, but our absolute favourite place is our home. You can find us cuddled up on the couch, sipping a hot cup of tea most evenings.

Kyle and I try to celebrate all of the little things in life, no matter how small the victory. Life can get busy, we keep grounded by surrounding ourselves with the people we love.

Why Adoption

Adopting has always been the first choice for us. Kayla comes from a blended family and Kyle comes from a small one and we always talked before we were married about how we wanted to give a loving home to a child to join our family. Families come in many shapes and we wanted to build ours through adoption.

About Kyle

Kyle, there are a million things I could tell you about him. He is hands down the most selfless man I know, he does so much for others and never asks for anything in return. Family is everything to Kyle. The bond that he has built with our nieces and nephews amazes me each and every time I see them interact. Kyle is gentle, calm, patient, and a goof ball. He is able to light up the room with his smile and his laugh is infectious. I cannot wait to see him as a dad. One thing that I admire most about Kyle is his work life balance. Kyle is passionate about his job, and loves what he does, however, he makes it a priority to be home every night on time and for dinner. I admire his devotion to our family, we are always his number one.

When Kyle isn’t working or hanging out with our family he enjoys swimming, biking, and running. Kyle has completed several marathons and triathlons. He is dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle and exercising. Kyle enjoys the outdoors and loves snowboarding in Collingwood at his family cottage. We spend most of our holidays boarding planes and seeing the world. Kyle loves sports, many nights you can find us taking in a Blue Jays game at the Rogers Centre or a Raptors game at the ACC.

About Kayla

I truly hit the jackpot when I found Kay. She has everything I wanted in a wife, but more importantly, everything I wanted in a best friend. She brings such an amazing love for life that I knew once I got her, I
was in for an adventure. She is always looking to experience something new, try a new taste of life or just better ourselves. She puts us first ahead of everything. When life gets too busy she is always the first one to stop everything and surprise me with a date night or she’ll bring me home some candy (I have a legit sugar addiction). She loves to travel, experience new foods, cook up a new healthy recipe, work on a craft or cuddle up with a good book in our backyard. Every day you can find her on our couch cuddling our dog after school, with a cup of tea. She loves the life we have made and I’m so happy I get to be in it.Kay amazes me with the way she is with all of our nieces and nephews. Family has always been important to me and she shares that passion. The way she is with every child, whether it is my family or hers, she loves them more than anyone I’ve seen. She plays with them, understands them, but more importantly loves them and they love her. She has so much to give to this world and I know she will make a loving, caring, dedicated mom.

A dog is the only thing on the earth that loves you more than he loves himself and that quote holds even truer for Corey. He is a rescue from the US and spends every second he can snuggling with us or playing with our many nieces and nephews. We lucked out with him.

Our Family

Our families mean the world to us. There is nothing we would not do for family. Kyle comes from a tiny family in comparison to mine. Kyle’s family consists of his parents (who we love dearly), as well as, his older brother, sister-in-law and their two kids, who just so happen to be our godchildren. We live minutes away from Kyle’s family and spend every Sunday evening together for family dinner. They are oh so special to us.

Kayla’s family is massive. She is the youngest of five kids. Her two older sisters are married to the love of their lives and have the cutest kiddos and two older brothers who have children as well. My grandparents are everything, we have a very close relationship with the two of them. Though we do not live close to my family, as they live 4 hours away in Sudbury, we see them regularly and they are just the best.

Family means everything to us. We love spending time with them, travelling with them, spending Sunday dinner together, going to church together, and making memories with them. They are so excited for us to grow our family through adoption and cannot wait to welcome another child into their lives.

We hit the family jackpot.

Our Free time

Kyle and I have a love for travelling. Each summer we pick a new place, and set off on and adventure. We love seeing all the beautiful places in this big old world. Being a teacher allows us a lot of time to travel, Kyle also gets 5 weeks off. Together we have been to New York, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Vancouver, LA, Florida, and more. Each year for March Break we vacation with our family in Florida. Our passion for seeing the world has led us to meet many amazing people, who we see and talk to regularly. Travelling
the world together is one of our deepest passions. We are excited to share this passion with our future children.

Thank you

From the very bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to look through all of our photos. Though, this is just a tiny glimpse into our lives and who we are, we hope it gave you a better understanding of the people we are and the love we have for our families, and one another. Most importantly, we want you to know that we will love your child unconditionally and will dedicate our lives to providing him or her with all the love, security, and joy we can offer. We want your child to always know where he or she came from. You will always be an integral part of his or her life and we plan to raise your child with an understanding and appreciation for you and the sacrifice you are making, This child will be loved beyond words by our families, by our friends, and he or she will always know the great love you have for him or her as well. Thank you for considering us, words cannot express how grateful we are for you.

Sending our love,

Kayla, Kyle & Corey
